
Training
The TRISudbury coaching team is headed up by Jacqui White our Head Coach. Jacqui, a BTA Level 2 coach, is supported assisted by Shan Buss, David Potts, Dan Cole and Nicola Manders.
In Shan, David, Dan and Jacqui, the club has a lean but incredibly dedicated team of coaches who are passionate about supporting members to achieve their goals.
We really need members to support our coaching sessions to ensure they continue. Of course, this means they need to be fun, effective, well-executed sessions that add value to your training so please do talk to the coaching team about any suggestions or feedback that might help us better meet your needs and entice you along to more sessions.
Our monthly coaching offer includes:
Wednesday evening adult swim session at The Kingfisher Leisure Centre
Thursday evening at the Stevenson Centre in Great Cornard, CO10 0WD:
Junior Triathlon Fitness and Skills which includes run, bike and transition skills
Adult Run Coaching
Adult Strength and Conditioning
Saturdays at Great Cornard Leisure Centres outdoor heated pool:
Adult swim sessions
Junior swim sessions (A responsible adult should be in attendance)
TRISudbury Tadpoles Enabling our youngest members of the triathlon community to start their swim journey with us
Monthly Friday Evening Bike sessions at The Colchester Bike Track and Run sessions at Bury St. Edmunds running track.
Alongside our coaching, we also have a small team of volunteers who support regular social runs, rides and swims:
Cyclists - our regular Saturday morning social ride offers an opportunity to gain a little more confidence riding in a group while also meeting and chatting with other members
Runners - our social runs can often spontaneously pop up on in our members only Facebook page
Swimmers - Members often arrange to meet and swim at Gosfield Lake, and catch up at the Snack Shack afterwards, on Tuesday evenings and sunday mornings
Our BTF qualified coaches offer a range of training sessions across the three disciplines of triathlon as well as the strength and conditioning that provides an important foundation for all triathletes. Sessions are designed to cater for all capability levels and always involve a good dose of social interaction. Sessions are available for members only, but anyone contemplating joining the club can book in for a free trial session by emailing membership@trisudbury.com
